Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has a strong fanbase and a huge selection of games. Xbox live makes many of the games have great replay value. The graphics power of this device is awesome! Xbox live is also inexpensive, as cheap as $6 per month. On the downside, the XBOX has been known to have manufacturing glitches, such as the red ring of death or RROD. Micrsoft will fix these problems for free, but it is an inconvenience.

The Sony Playstation 3 boasts enhanced graphics and a blu ray DVD drive. These were Sony’s main 2 focal points in developing the PS3. DVD playback and game graphics on this machine are superb. The PS3 does have the ability to connect to Sony’s network for online gaming, which is free, but lacks the vitality and funtionality of Microsoft’s Xbox live service.
